I use Pomodoro Technique every day and I consider it one of the most popular and effective productivity strategies.

It was developed in the late 1980s by Francesco Cirillo. As a fun fact, he named it after a tomato-shaped kitchen timer (pomodoro in Italian) that he used while studying. Cool name!

This productivity technique is based on the idea of working in short, defined time intervals separated by brief breaks, which helps maintain focus and avoid mental fatigue.

How are the time blocks organized?

The Pomodoro Technique is based on dividing time into 25-minute blocks, called “pomodoros,” followed by a short 5-minute break.

After completing four “pomodoros,” you take a longer break of 15 to 30 minutes. Use this time to make yourself a coffee, take a short walk, or do something that helps you disconnect (don’t open social media because you’ll get lost).

This approach allows you to work intensely for a set period, focusing on a specific task, and then relax briefly to recharge.
